Best way to create ancestral line report?
What is the best or easiest way to create a report of one ancestral line?
We started out as a Google+ Community - it is closing down so we have migrated here to Blogger. This will be the place for 6+ years worth of posts and comments (an archive of sorts) as well as the place to dish up current questions, comments, and tips about our genealogy software of choice, Legacy Family Tree.
Debi - what do you want from the report? If you want the data that you have entered you probably want an Ancestor Book and there are several options for what to include. If you want a chart to show that line then you would use the Chart feature. Note that with the Publishing Center there is a feature to include a variety of the reports. It really depends on what you want from the report - which one you use and how you put it together.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tessa Keough. I found something in the Legacy support questions and answers that fit my needs exactly. I wanted a report that reported from my husband to one 8th great-grandfather. It worked.
ReplyDeleteWe are leaving today for a reunion for all descendants of that 8th great-grandfather and we wanted to show my husband's ancestral line.
Great - and just in time for a family visit!
