Quick question - where are you online to learn about Legacy?

I have a quick question for those in this group - we plan to move all the posts and comments into a blog, but I am just wondering where our members are at online. Do you use only our LVUG Google+ community or do you also use Facebook and/or Legacy News. Feel free to comment about how you get your Legacy news, tips and how-tos. Thanks

Poll - How much time per week do you spend on DOING your genealogy?

Image
Quick Question for All - HOW MUCH TIME PER WEEK (on average) DO YOU SPEND WORKING ON YOUR GENEALOGY (not classes, webinars, volunteer work, etc. - but doing research on your extended family, working with records & resources, working in Legacy, etc.). And if you want to comment and explain what types of things you do and time, great - otherwise you can just take the poll. Thanks

What version of Legacy do you use?

Image
Okay Legacy Users time for a question! Legacy 9 is flying off the shelves (the real ones and the internet shelves!) and Geoff Rasmussen teased us with more than a few of the new features over the past year (and he did a great presentation on using Legacy 9 recently - look or it in the Legacy Video Archives). I am wondering how many in our Legacy Virtual Users' Group Community are using Legacy 8 (in any of its iterations) AND how many have made the leap to Legacy 9. Also if you are using the Free Version of Legacy or a Pre-Legacy 8 version be sure to check that. Pretty easy Tuesday for all of us!

Our last question in survey - what Legacy features do you want to learn?

Okay - lucky number 7 and our last question in the LVUG survey - Today's Poll Question - What Legacy features do you want to learn about in 2015 ? Now I don't think there is a problem with voting more than once (a bit like early Chicago elections!) AND you can also leave comments (we are reading them!). If we have left something out (we only get 5 choices) or you want to bump something higher in the hangout list, just tell us.  So give it some thought ( locations, charting, sources, reports, master lists, events/facts, media, searches, customization, supporting programs, etc .) Thanks so much.

Two more survey questions - what doesn't work with hangouts?

We are down to the last two questions so - Today's Poll Question -  What is the least helpful part of our LVUG Hangouts ? Go ahead we can take it - what doesn't work for you and please share any comments about how we can improve the hangouts (length, schedule, invitations, other logistics, etc.). Thanks.

Today's Poll Question - what works with hangouts?

What is the most helpful part of our LVUG Hangouts ? If we haven't listed something, please add it in the comments section. Thanks

Today's Poll Question - do you attend hangouts?

Do you make use of our LVUG Hangouts ? And, if you haven't used them in the past, what would make you want to watch or attend them? Feel free to just vote or vote and comment. Thanks so much .

Today's Poll Question - favorite way to learn here.

What is your favorite way to learn here at the LVUG Community ? If you want to share the reason for your preference, please post in the comments section. If I have left a choice out, why not share with the rest of us. Thanks

Today's Poll Question - How often do you visit community?

How often do you check in here at the LVUG Community ? (Feel free to leave a comment if the choices don't fit your experience). Thanks

Today's Poll Question - your comfort level using Legacy.

What is your comfort level using Legacy Family Tree software ? This is not based upon the amount of time you have been using Legacy, but is based on whether you use it simply for basic data entry, perhaps use only a few features, have kicked most of the feature tires and made decisions about how you want to use it, or whether you put most of your family history research in Legacy (in conjunction with some other programs). Let's get some idea how our 834 members currently use Legacy .
