' evening all.  I am working with a cousin to try to figure out how to log her Ancestry.com DNA test into my Legacy 8 program, but have hit a roadblock that I hope someone can help me with ... The first thing it asks is what kind of test it was.  Well, we don't know.  We have searched the Ancestry site and have not been able to determine what kind of test it is (they only have 1 test now but they fail to say the name of it).  Does anyone out there know what the current DNA test is?  Or which of the 7 Ancestry test options in Legacy I should/could use to record the results of the current Ancestry DNA test? Has anyone else done the Ancestry DNA?  I did and I'm not sure what to do with some of the results.   The DNA test shows that I have 2 potential ancestors that are not in my family tree.  Locations are good and I have multiple DNA matches with their descendants - but I have never seen these names in my research. All advice is more than welcomed!

I'm thinking of either putting the lines into my existing family file and marking everyone as Invisible so they don't show up when I generate charts for my website. Or starting another family file and marking each person (in their User ID possibly?) which person they came from.

I am wondering how people are handling DNA matches that they haven’t figured the connection yet.  I was thinking of adding an unattached person called “DNA Cousins” and attach people to that person until I figure out the actual connection.  That way, I can enter things that I do know about them as I find it out.  I would mark anyone I add private so they don’t show up anyplace.
