Using SourceWriter - check the templates.

Mitch Parker Are you referring to having the Source Writer choose the correct template for a census by answering the questions with the drop down menus? There are several templates because the citations are written different depending on the medium (microfilm or online images).  Does this screenshot help?

Fixing mistakes in my master source list.

I looked through my Master Source List tonight and saw a few mistakes that needed to be corrected so they would be consistent with the others.  Well, over an hour later. . . I got them ALL corrected (there were more than a few to my shock and horror). Some gremlin had to have been playing in my Source List, because I would NEVER do that-- yeah right! #keepingitreal

Question about FindAGrave research and entries.

I thought there was a post about this lately but cannot find it. It is probably Legacy Searching 101, but I cannot figure it out. How can I tag those who do NOT have a FindAGrave citation in my file? I want a list so I can go and search for those people that are missing a FindAGrave source.  I tried to do a detailed search, but the only choice under either Source-citation or Source-Master Source is "Contains" (under How to Look).  It needs "Does Not Contains"!  I cannot use the Missing Sources tab under Search for Burial Date and Place, because that might not include all who should come up in the missing FindAGrave search (as someone might have a source there, but not a FindAGrave one).  Sorry to ask such a basic question.  I'm sure someone has figured this out before. This information would actually be helpful to know for searching for people with any source that does not exist for a person.

How to run a simple search with modification date - help.

I am trying to run a simple detailed search to find those people modified on a certain date.  What format do I use for the date?  I have run several tests and I cannot get it to work.  I am clicking on Find > Detailed Search,  under Primary Condition, "Look for Whom", I chose "Individual", under "Where to Look" I chose "Modified Date",  under "How to look" I chose "Equal To", under "What to Look For" I typed "07/08/14" (meaning July 8, 2014.  I have tried this test in both version 7.5 and 8.0.  I get the message, "No records were found with this criteria" even though I can plainly see there are records with this date.  Also, if I choose "After" in the category "How to Look", and use the same date, it brings up ALL the records in my file, which is not correct. Hmmm. . . . Any help is appreciated.  Thanks!

Issues watching Illinois webinar recording.

Is anyone else having a problem watching the archive of the Illinois webinar by Thomas MacEntee that was this Wednesday?  I tried 3x yesterday and 3x today and it only loads the first 10 minutes.  Thanks.
