Is there a way to have more than 1 repository for a source?

I have a few books in my personal library that I first used in a public library, plus, of course, numerous BMD certs whose original repositories are in some state bureau but which I also want to note that I have copies of in my personal papers. TIA.

  1. Cherie Brumfield You can only have one repository for your sources.  What I would do is put the main repository and then make a note in the source detail text/comments tab or the notes tab within the repository that you also have a copy of the death certificate, book etc.

  2. There is a section in Legacy under the details where you can note you have a paper copy.  That way when that source detail is used to source a fact, it will show you have a paper copy.

  3. another option (but perhaps a bit redundant) is to create a repository for all your paper documents and then duplicate the master source and details

  4. Another option is to attach the copy to the source media. Then it's obvious you have a copy.

  5. Thank you all very much, I appreciate the help.  Amazing how single-minded a person can be - in TMG you can enter as many repositories as you want for a single source and I was just so focused on that it never occurred to me to look "outside my box"!  I suspect my best bet is to add my "Personal Ownership of a Copy" in the source detail text/comments tab.  Sigh, more work...!!!  Thanks, everyone, again.
