In case we haven't had the chance yet to say so welcome to the LVUG community.

In case we haven't had the chance yet to say so welcome to the Legacy Virtual Users' Group (LVUG) Community here on Google+. We have had a jump in numbers this week and that might have a little something to do with the Legacy Webinar last Wednesday.

This is a team effort and includes Linda McCauley Carol Stevens (both of whom helped me start this Community and keep our posts on track), as well as super members Shannon Thomas and Monique Riley who regularly share their knowledge of Legacy as well as other software (Evernote and AniMap are recent examples).

I'm happy you found us and hope you will take the time to:

(1) introduce yourself, tell us perhaps what your research focus is (families or locations or if you are doing a specialized study);

(2) tell us which version of Legacy you use (and that is helpful if you are asking a question or have a problem);

(3) read through the About this Community section (should be in the right-hand corner as well as the Guidelines (the last item in the Topics section (far left-hand side);

(4) share - post a question or a tip or show us how you use Legacy (and that is kinda key - we are a user group UNAFFILIATED - and this community discusses Legacy either by itself and/or with other software and apps);

(5) if your question is about how the Millennia folks do something - please contact them - we have no insider information; and

(6) we are all volunteers here and we have been busy with some other projects (conferences and webinars, work and family) so there have not been hangouts in 2015 - but we are getting that sorted and pushing that reset button (and we will let you know and invite you to attend). In the meantime, our recorded hangouts as well as a wealth of tips and shorts tutorials are on my YouTube channel (with more to come). TessaWatch

So meander through the Community and check in to see posts, answer questions (please we want your 2 cents) and search the Community if you have a specific question - the answer might already be here.

Again thanks for joining us, we look forward to getting to know you.
