A blog post highlighting some of the Legacy's Quick Tip videos.
I wrote a blog post on my work blog highlighting some of the Legacy QuickTip videos

We started out as a Google+ Community - it is closing down so we have migrated here to Blogger. This will be the place for 6+ years worth of posts and comments (an archive of sorts) as well as the place to dish up current questions, comments, and tips about our genealogy software of choice, Legacy Family Tree.
Love the visuals. Great post Alona Tester
ReplyDeleteThese are some great tips - thanks for highlighting them Alona Tester. And Monique Riley did a great hangout a while back showing us how she uses Animap. It is part of the monthly hangout series here at the LVUG Community. I like both Animap and Centennia for finding places at specific times in the past. We also have the Rumsey Map Collection and certain of those maps can be "grafted" on to a Google map. I seem to recall Lisa Louise Cooke showing us that in a Legacy Webinar and/or her Genealogy Gems. There are many ways to use maps (love them) with our genealogy.
ReplyDeleteOne other point - I do my own timelines (you can easily add timelines to your Legacy files - I showed this a while back as well). I have a history of Newfoundland and one for Ireland as well as timelines for certain states in the USA that matter to me (off the top of my head Nebraska, Minnesota and Washington come to mind. We showed a variety of places to "grab" that information (including Wikipedia and FamilySearch). These types of timelines help you put your ancestors more fully into the places they lived (it all helps with research).
What have you added to your Legacy to make it your own?
Good idea!
