Tuesday's Tip - How to find a married woman in your Legacy family.

Tuesday's Tip - The question came up in a couple of places about how to find a married woman in your Legacy family file when you don't know her maiden surname. We show you three ways of getting to the family file,  as well as a little bookmark bonus at the end of the video. If you have another way, why not share it below in the comments section.

  1. Great tip Tessa Keough.  I go to the Index tab and search from there.  If you click on the options button in the Index tab you can select to show married names as well as alternate names.

  3. Thank you Tessa Keough the main point I took away from this lesson was that you can type both the surname AND the christian name in the 'Surname' box when searching for someone.  That is something I know I will be using often.

  4. I also search in the Index view with the married names box checked, just like Shannon Thomas .  I never use the Name List-- thanks for the reminder, Tessa Keough !

  5. I never use anything except the Name list.

  6. Thanks once again Tessa Keough.  I am with Michelle here.  Typing the Surname and first name into the surname box was a revelation to me.  This will will save me quite some time.  Another simple but fantastic piece of knowledge shared. I have already learned lots in the short time I have been a member - "Diolch yn fawr"  (Thank you in Welsh!)

  7. So pleased that these tips help Mike Edwards! Our Tuesday's Tips come from real questions, so please share your questions (and your solutions). We keep learning together. "Eich bod yn croesawu" (if Google got it right - you're welcome in Welsh).
