New to LVUG community.
I'm Janet from New Zealand. Just starting with Legacy 8 so it's an exciting journey.
We started out as a Google+ Community - it is closing down so we have migrated here to Blogger. This will be the place for 6+ years worth of posts and comments (an archive of sorts) as well as the place to dish up current questions, comments, and tips about our genealogy software of choice, Legacy Family Tree.
Janet, It is a wonderful program. It has a high learning curve but your hard work and perseverance will pay off in many ways with this powerful program. btw: I'm from Washington State...and today it was sunny!
ReplyDeleteWELCOME Janet Arnst ! Check out all the Tuesday tips, (click on them in the column over in the left side of screen of the community) Scroll back to October of last year. There are about two dozen videos there. Also, the LVUG Hangouts are great. Lots of info here.
ReplyDeleteGoog luck Janet, From a fellow Kiwi (Main Land)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info Monique, I'll check them out. I want to take it slowly so I don't have to go back and re-enter data later :-)
ReplyDeleteWelcome Janet Arnst to our LVUG Community. You will find lots of helpful Legacy users here and we are more than happy to try to answer questions (we have all been new users!). As a newbie to Legacy, wondering what made you choose it and how are you finding it so far?
ReplyDeleteI attended a genealogy workshop by Jan Gow and was impressed by Legacy's features.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I am always interested in what people use and why (and some use a couple of programs). That is why I enjoy reading Randy Seaver and Russ Worthington posts so much - it gets us all thinking how we use and can use our programs (as well as features in common or "new to us" features).
