How to fix typos?

When filling in info to an event menu and a mistake is made but not noticed and saved - - can this error be corrected so it won't continually come up in future postings?.
For example  - brith  or cenmsus

    You can edit or delete

    View > Master Lists >> Event Definitions - you can fix it or delete it there.

    PS. it will even show you a list of people that use the one with the wrong spelling so you can fix them before deleting the bad one. surprisingly I had several mistyped ones :) thanks for making me look it up.
