Using Legacy version 8 on two computers - a question.
Does anyone have trouble using version 8 on two computers, The file will open on the second computer but ever time I click on the source buttons or note tab etc., it locks up.

how are you moving your data from one computer to the next? maybe there isn't anything there on Computer #2 for it to read? I store mine on a flash drive that I can use on both computers
ReplyDeleteI haven't noticed a problem with that.
ReplyDeleteI have it on my desktop (where I do the majority of my work) and on a laptop. It is installed on both computers but my files are saved in dropbox and opened from there. Both of them are set to automatically open my family file from dropbox. I have not had any issues. One thing is that you need to make sure that it is closed on your computer before you open it on the other one. Sine I ocassionaly forget to close it on my desktop ok f I am going t ok use it on my laptop I have set up remote access to my desktop through Chrome so I can close it and use it on my laptop.
ReplyDeleteShannon, I do the same but my file is on our server.
ReplyDeleteI would uninstall it on the computer that it is giving you issues on and then reinstall it after restarting your computer. If this does not fix the problem then you should contact support for help.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, I think it has to do with my network. I am going to try to give Legacy tech a call
