    I have enjoyed the use of Genviewer over the years. It's been a useful way to go through a Gedcom in a readable, organized format before importing into Legacy.

    AniMap shows where counties were at the time.

    I'm with Melanie. AniMap is great for finding out county boundaries over time in the US.

    I use Centennia Historic Atlas for European maps over time. Similar to AniMap but for Europe only.
