Tuesday's Tip - Watch Russ Worthington explain how he uses FindAGrave.
Tuesday's Tip - Why not register for and watch Russ Worthington tomorrow as he shares his approach to working with FindAGrave. He will be featured on the Legacy Wednesday Webinar series. Russ is doing something that many of the other presenters don't do - although his genealogy program of choice is Family Tree Maker, he is using Legacy to show the process in action (well done Russ). JL Beeken has also shown how to use the Legacy search feature to work with FindAGrave and that has been highlighted at JL's blog and mentioned here in the Community.
Using FindAGrave (and similar sites) is a great way to find those clues (and sometimes the gravestones and additional information) about ancestors. Why not watch and learn - and then apply that knowledge. After the webinar, if you have any suggestions or additional tips to share - place them right here in the Community!
I will be watching!
ReplyDeleteI watch 90% of the Legacy Webinars - such a good way to learn, right from home.
ReplyDeleteWhen I wrote the post you mention, http://bit.ly/22lcykw in June of last year, there were 100 million grave records at FAG. Now there are 116 million. In one year, 16 million more entries. And all of this is done by volunteers.
ReplyDeleteIn my personal database of almost 11,000 deceased individuals 35% of them have a Find A Grave citation. About 75% of those have images.
