FamilySearch.org has a 24-hour indexing event planned for July 20-21st. If everyone in the LVUG Community indexed one batch - FamilySearch and genealogists worldwide would be up 664 batches. I'm in - how about you?

I use FamilySearch.org site and appreciate the indexes and scans available free of charge to all of us. I am a big fan of their online tutorials (check out the Learning tab) and I have made use of the microfilm and books at the Family History Library. Indexing is a way to give back and is something we can all do.

    I tried to do some batches today to save for submission on Sunday, but couldn't resist finishing and submitting them once I started. Guess I have some OCD tendencies. :)
