How do I transfer my Legacy files to a new computer?

I just got a new computer, and I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out how to transfer my Legacy files. The instructions made it sound like once you put it on your flash drive, you just download the Legacy software and it uploads. That didn't really work right, so then I started transferring my 20,000 missing media files. I thought I had it, but then it's all gone again. I don't really understand. The new computer wants to save everything to "one cloud" and I just want to save it on my computer. Sorry, I'm really confused here. Any suggestions?

Using a photo instead of Legacy icons.

I can't figure out how to get a photo to show up where the male or female icon is. I have set a preferred photo, but it isn't there. What am I doing wrong? Or an I wrong and Legacy doesn't do that? Thanks in advance. -Leslie

Issues with uploading my Legacy Gedcom to Ancestry.

I decided to upload my Legacy gedcom to Ancestry.com. The media files don't seem to transfer (other than the information about them), so I uploaded it all to Family Tree Maker. It is currently syncing to Ancestry, but I noticed that there are multiple copies of the media images on FTM. Does that mean I saved them wrong in Legacy? For example, I'm pretty sure I only attached the 1900 census image to someone once when doing the source and then again in the event. For some reason there are 8 copies of it in FTM and maybe in Ancestry, not sure yet. I can delete them, but is there a way to prevent this from happening.

How to cite the Tanguay Collection found on Ancestry.

I am sorry if someone already asked this, but I can't find it in the search. If I want to cite the Tanguay Collection found on Ancestry, how do I do that in Legacy? What do I call it? It is a genealogical database, but that's not one of the options in the Legacy citation program. I know it's not a primary source, but I was considering putting it in my database anyway. Do you all leave it out and just look for the original church records? Thanks in advance.

New to Legacy.

Hi! I just joined your group and am a new Legacy user. I was using FTM and I figure I have a year to double-check and transition my information. I want to work hard to get all of my citations correct. I got a lot of information from my uncle, but he didn't cite any of his sources. Luckily, I'm finding out he's been correct on everything so far. I live in St. Louis, MO. I have been working on my genealogy research for about 12-13 years. My daughter works in the History and Genealogy department of St. Louis County Library, so I'm fortunate to have a personal assistant at the library!

New to Legacy - have some questions.

Hi. I just came across this group and joined it. I purchased Legacy on Wednesday when I learned of the demise of FTM. I have been watching a lot of tutorials but am wondering if someone can help me with a couple of questions.  I have been researching my genealogy for about 12 years or so, maybe longer.  Like many others, I didn't site my sources as I should have. I am taking this opportunity to start fresh, double-check everything, and then enter all of my data correctly. I was wondering what to do with my photos. I have digital scans of many photos. I understand how to get my pictures into Legacy, but I don't see a way to enter a source citation.  Do I just type it in manually? What do you do?   Along those same lines, I have some original documents (like my birth certificate). I obviously own the document. How do I enter and source that?  Do I just upload the item. Do I consider all photos and documents that I have in my possession to be "artifact...
