Fixing family entries - wrong mother.
I hope someone can help me.
When I entered a certain leg of my wife's family, One guy had two wives, but all their thirteen children seemed to have one mother.
Recently I discovered more information, and a new source and dates now seem to suggest that all the kids were from the other wife.
Is there and easy way for me to "give them to the other mother"?
Yes, first find the marriage record number of the father & correct number – you can see that if you click edit marriage and it is on the top line.
ReplyDeleteI use the “little people” the persons picture and information are – the 2nd one in is the parents. Click on them to bring up the parents list. Click on link to existing parents. Click in the MRIN box and enter the marriage record number of the correct set of parents. Once you add the correct parents, click unlink from child to remove from the wrong set. I think it is easier to link first then unlink so the family stays together while you are working on them.
I forgot to add that you do need to do each child individually.
