Tuesday's Tip - One of my favorite groups as those of you who have been in our LVUG Community know is StoryCorps - an amazing organization that gathers and preserves stories. Their website it wonderful and provides lots of tips and resources for interviewing family members and friends. As genealogists and family historians we know that names and dates are a start but it is the story of a person's life that is the key to making our family history come alive.

Why not take some time to root around at the StoryCorps website and learn more about the Great Thanksgiving Day of Listening. Make some plans to engage with your family and learn one or more fascinating stories that will add to your family history.

And don't forget that Legacy has some great resources in this area as well - take advantage of the interview questions. You can start out with the standard questions, make them your own, add or subtract as appropriate, and be ready for your own Great Thanksgiving Day of Listening. Be sure to enter the stories (whether written or oral) to your Legacy family files.
